About Melo

A gathering place
for every story.

Melo Bagels and Books was born from a simple idea: that the best moments happen when good food, good books, and good people share the same table.

The Story

It started with a table,
some books, and a bagel.

Melo started as a personal obsession — the kind that sneaks up on you when you realize you've spent three hours arranging a grazing spread that no one asked for, just because it felt right.

The name Melo is a blend of melody and mellow — the feeling of a room where everyone is comfortable, conversation flows easily, and no one is in a hurry to leave. That's the atmosphere we build into every event.

We believe a bagel grazing board is more than food. A styled spread is more than décor. A book is more than pages. Together, they create something that lingers — a memory, a feeling, a story worth telling.

What Sets Us Apart

More than an event.
A whole experience.

Styled books, candles, and florals on a cozy table

Made with intention

Every detail — the florals, the spreads, the activities — is chosen with care. Nothing is an afterthought.

Stories at the center

Books bring people together in a way nothing else quite does. We build every experience around that belief.

Your vision, our craft

No two events look the same because no two people are the same. We start with your story and build from there.

Community over everything

The Blank Book Archive, the shared tables, the lingering conversations — Melo is about people connecting, not just attending.

The Blank Book Archive

At every Melo event, there's a quiet corner with blank books waiting to be filled. Guests can write anything — a memory, a thought, a line from a book they love — and leave it behind, anonymously, permanently.

Over time, the Archive becomes something extraordinary: a living library of stories from every person who has ever gathered with us. It's one of the things we're most proud of — and it grows with every event.

Daytime

Golden hour gatherings.

Warm cream linens, dried botanicals, morning light. Our daytime experiences are cozy, bright, and made for lingering over coffee and conversation.

After Dark

When the stories get richer.

Candlelight, dark florals, moody grazing spreads. Our After Dark experiences bring the same artisan boards and literary magic into the evening hours.
